Without resources, there are no human rights. Human beings must possess the entire spectrum of rights - economic, social, cultural, political, and civil - to lead a life of dignity and achieve their fullest potential. Fundamental resources like water, food, housing, energy, and a healthy environment are not privileges. They are required to guarantee a dignified life for every person and are protected by Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - everyone is entitled to the resources necessary for health and well-being.
Because all human rights are interdependent, if your economic and social needs are unmet, you cannot fully realize your other human rights.
